::What's job-hunting compared to "love-hunting"?::

While reading Ms Poh's blog about what I asked her, it suddenly struck me..

Job hunting shld be so much easier as compared to looking for love!

That being said, given that it's so tough to land a good job, one should know better about love.

Perhaps you'll find the job u enjoy after, weeks, months or maybe years.
But as Kelly Clarkson sang it,

"For a moment like this, some people wait a lifetime.

For that one special kiss, some people search forever."

So, for all of us who are in our Final Semester and without any job offers, don't give up! Because compared to love and many other things in life, I guess not landing a job of your choice would not mean the end of the world. Anyways, reality is, working life ain't all that great, it's just the start of a long "rat marathon"..

Lets all enjoy our very last semester of freedom~

::Witch Yoo Hee::

Korea Casts: Jun Hye Bin, Kim Jeong Hoon, Han Ga In, Jae Hee, Dennis Oh

Description: As the director of her father's advertising company, Ma Yoo Hee (Han Ga In) is known as a witch for her ruthless, no nonsense character. After a string of failed attempts to hire a housekeeper, she (literally) runs into Chae Moo Ryong (Jae Hee), ex-medical student turned aspiring chef. As a way to work off his debt for crashing into her car, he agrees to become her housekeeper and personal love affairs coach for one month. Gladly, he gives her a makeover that attracts both her old friend Johnny Kruger (Dennis Oh) and her first love Joon Ha (Kim Jeong Hoon). Despite having a girlfriend, Sung Mi (Jun Hye Bin), Moo Ryong eventually finds himself falling for Yoo Hee.

I've recently been watching this korean drama series which is currently showing on TV, and I think the lead actress is really pretty too! But my fave is still Dennis Oh who plays "Johnny" in the show.. He's the one on the far right in the pict above.. Enjoy~

::XMAS 2007::

Yet another year has past, and Christmas has come and gone! This year Christmas was as usual, celebrating with the dearies jessie, yi lin (and Chris), wee leng (and Sam) and angie. Except this year it was at ah wei's sis new house with her husband.. oh and i almost forgot yi lin's doggie Junior! We had a great time with the Christmas exchange and also playing the game "dirty santa".. Oh and watching Jess being "attacked" by junior was extremely entertaining as well.. Thanks for this (and many past) years' celebrations!

After that we watched transformers (second time round for me) while a few of them promptly fell asleep.. Funnily enough I couldn't sleep even after drinking some smirnoff.. usually i'll be the first on the bed (sorry for hogging the bed!).. Maybe my drinking's improved! haha

Below are some picts i koped from Yi lin's blog.. hope u dun mind, thanks!

Me, Jess, Angie, Yi lin, Chris, Wei Leng and Sam

Wei's sis and her husband

Anyways we decided to leave around 6.30am, and oddly enough while the rest went back in the cab, I decided to go take the train on my own. Partly cos i didn't bring enough cash and also cos i wanted to clear my head. Only thing was it didn't occur to me that Fajar was really FAR and i had to take the LRT to choa chu kang and then change to MRT and then to jurong east and back to bedok. Didn't realise I was that tired til i kept nodding off on the train. Reached home only at 8.30am and went to sleep expecting to sleep the day away, but then genes called at 12.30pm and asked whether i wanted to meet him and shao hao in town..

Being half asleep and since they are my 2 "favourite" guys i dragged myself out of bed to go. It turned out not too bad and we walked around somerset, orchard quite a bit. I wanted to watch "Alvin and the chipmunks" since it's a HAPPY show but they wanted to watch "I am Legend" so I agreed..

me, genes and shao hao

Although i read some bad reviews for this show, and despite being quite freaked out at some scenes, i think the show is worth watching, cos i didn't fall asleep though i was really tired, but catch it probably on a weekday. The audience didn't quite scream at the scenes when they tried to scare you though i was jolted in my seat quite a bit.. I guess i'm not really a scary movie person and it's been some time since I last watched one.

Looking back at past Christmas-es I realise I've celebrated them in more or less the same way, not that it's bad cos I do enjoy catching up with frens and celebrating the Christmas Spirit.. But then again I think I do want a "different" Christmas next year.. Perhaps a White Christmas even? lol but any change would be good..

Well it's back to work tomorrow and I find that I'm increasingly not excited at going to work anymore.. Sigh but at least it's new year next week! That means another day off! yayz.. plus the Bintan trip to look forward to.. Til then I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some news I'm been waiting for and I do hope it's what I want to hear.. Merry XMAS!

::INFP - The "Dreamer"::

INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

Click to view my Personality Profile page

"INFPs are highly intuitive about people. They rely heavily on their intuitions to guide them, and use their discoveries to constantly search for value in life. They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP's value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life."
- Portrait of an INFP (The Personality Page)

"creative, smart, idealist, loner, attracted to sad things, disorganized, avoidant, can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings..."
- INFP Jung Type Descriptions (similarminds.com)

"Their job must be fun, although not racous, and it must be meaningful to them. They need a strong purpose in their work. They want to be recognized and valued, without undue attention given to them. They may become embarrassed when make the center of attention. As a result, they may undersell their strengths in order to avoid being singled out and made to feel conspicuous. They would rather have their worth be noticed gradually over time."
- INFP - The Dreamer (Lifexplore)

I've taken this test like 3 times.. and I always get the same personality type.. Not to say it's bad or anything, but I guess it's just who I am.. and i do think it's quite accurate..

Oh and I don't see banking under my career matches! hmmmz! I guess even now I know I'll prob not be in banking in the long run.. but who knows? I'll see how it goes..

::Crazy sushi buffet::

Today we had a bowlers' outing! which turned out to be not too bad even though it was more or less unplanned (thanks to someone) and I had to run and get drenched in the rain.. in heels no less.. Somehow we ended up at Sakae sushi buffet.. and each spent $30! I think i overpaid since I don't have much of a variety of vegetarian stuff at Sakae.. It was our first time out at a buffet, and I really liked Sakae before today.. but I think I'm gonna have to stay off Japanese food for a while, thanks to the very noisy and crappy dinner today.. and it didn't help that the guys kept making fun of all the veg stuffs that I ordered, and making me lose my appetite quite a bit.. Although we had more than a few laughs but still i didn't enjoy my food!

The guys were acting their usual (ahem) childish selves and came up with a stupid competition to see who could eat the most number of plates.. This was inspired by the real Sakae competition where the winner ate 101 plates of sushi!

The guys posing with their plates..

Shao Hao, gregory and genesius

Us gals

Shaan, me and yi ling

And of course.. the triumphant winner! Shao Hao beat the rest (it was a close one) with 20 plates in total, greg with 18 and genes with 15 plates.. but the competition was not that fair cos some plates were either "donated" by us or "snatched" away from another eater!

The ultimate winner!

Needless to say we were all stuffed after that and had to walk around orchard road to Plaza Sing to help digestion.. That's why I'm not really keen on buffets.. oh well but i didn't had much cos I was too busy laughing or too busy losing appetite in my dishes after all the "comments" about my choice of food..

So far it's been one week into the december holidays! It's also the final december holidays I'll ever get before I start work.. and I'm glad that I'm not going to be stuck in Singapore the whole time like all the previous december holidays.. For starters there's the Johor Bahru trip this sat with my minor frens to look forward to! Then perhaps the bowlers might go pulau ubin for cycling, and I may be going Malacca as always with my family.. And then there's the Bintan trip next Jan with the bowlers as well.. Hope it'll be just as crazy as usual haha.. Sorry chui yi, wing hang, wei chen for not joining u all in Bintan this time round!
